WHO WE ARE
Vandalhaus studio produces media of all varieties: Graphic design solutions, music, augmented reality experiences, video art, events and theatre performances. From 2017 through 2019 Vandalhaus Newark ran a 24/7 live streaming IP channel. The channel’s goal was to promote and produce local arts & culture videos curated for and by the Newark community.
Our studio is currently building upon previous coding, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality skills that will work in tandem with our archive of content to tell local stories through new digital media. As the world transitions out of this pandemic, we aim to provide art patrons with different digital experiences that allows them to engage with the performing arts through new mediums.
MISSION
Our mission is to record, preserve, produce and distribute the work of the performative artists working in Newark and surrounding areas to engage and uplift the community.
In adherence towards that goal we held weekly Open Studio sessions from 2017 through 2019. The public was invited to participate in “Jams” on Tuesdays or Sundays, which involved a variety of artistic forms and were always recorded. We also took these efforts out of the studio. From 2017 through 2020 we compiled an archive of performances recorded at multiple collaborating open mics around town including 360 poetry, EvoluCulture, CryOutCave and QXTs.
These open jams and our appearances at local open mics gained us a great network of artists. We serve and continue to involve this community by curating live streamed performances we call the “… in the #LoveDimension Series” as well as the “#LoveDimension Show” concert series and “#LoveDimension Summer” festival.

Ole Lie Vandal is a 24/7 life as performance experiment. We have declared to live for the moment in adherence to and while creating the #LoveDimension Doctrine. Born an old man by the name of Daniel Ovalle to Jose Amado and Claudia María in Washington Heights NY, this curmudgeon of a baby absorbed the amor of the environment and was soon gifted the name Danny Love by his uncles and aunties. They spent their adolescence through high school in the swamps of Hopatcong NJ before finding a home in Newark after seeking higher education in NJIT where they were awarded degrees in Science Technology and Society (BS) and Theatre Arts and Technology (BA). Known about town as a noted excentric Ole May be found walking his dog Toby in Downtown Newark while working out a song in his head that he will complete in his Ableton rig or at any Open Mic workshopping the #LoveDimension Story through improvised theatre.

I was born and raised in Lima, Perú. Grew up surrounded by the chaos and constant innovation of the printing industry, yet dance, art and theatre were always present in my business-minded upbringing. Moved to the US in 2011 to pursue a higher education and in 2016 graduated Rutgers-Newark with a B.A in Theatre Arts and a B.F.A in Graphic Design.
Newark, NJ has become my home away from home. I’m in love with its history and arts scene. I am currently the In-house Designer & Marketing Assistant for Newark Arts and Artist Assistant for NJPAC.
My partner and I created Vandalhaus, a design and multimedia production studio, to get involved with the arts community and produce original content such as: events, videos, performances, AR experiences, design, sound, theatre and so much more…
I have been able to explore my performative side through the #LoveDimension project and continue on the quest to understand identity and reality throught the character s.h.e.w.h.o.
Bring forth the #LoveDimension!
